Glass Bead Making Extension – Twisties & Encasement

This course will cover making Twisties and canes and their application, as well as clear encasement of beads. There will also be instruction on the use of the Guild’s kiln for batch annealing.

Numbers: Minimum 3, Maximum 5

Prerequisite:  Some experience necessary. Suitable for students who have done some torching or completed a Beginners course.

Cost: $235.00 – includes notes, glass, and use of equipment and tools.

Course (5 hours) Review review basic torching skills before introducing new bead shapes and use of molds. Students will learn further techniques to add to their "toolbox" of basic skills. Includesusing dots, making twisties and canes, encasing beads, using molds, rollers and presses as well as additional designs with dots and stringers. Min 3, Max 5. Prerequisite: Some experience necessary. Suitable for students who have done some torching or completed a Beginners course.
