Welcome to the Creative Glass Guild of Queensland.

Located in Red Hill, an inner city suburb of Brisbane, we are a community-based, not-for-profit organisation delivering cultural and educational activities since 1979. We promote a range of traditional and contemporary glass art techniques through provision of courses and workshops where people with no prior skills are taught to create beautiful art. We are proud to be the only place in Australia offering such a range of classes under the one roof.

Celebrating 40 Years

In 2019, the Exhibition celebrated our 40 year anniversary at the annual Exhibition held at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens Auditorium, Toowong. This grand event featured hand-crafted glass mosaics, lamps, fused platters and ornaments, leadlight panels, copperfoiled objects d'art and lampwork beads and jewellery, all made by Guild Members, most of whom started their creative journey after a class with us! Many gorgeous, unique glass creations were sold. We also featured demonstrations on how items are made. Visitors signed-up for a course or workshop while others chose to become a member. Be sure not to miss this event in 2020 - dates to be confirmed.
