Welcome to the Creative Glass Guild of Queensland.

Located in Red Hill, an inner city suburb of Brisbane, we are a community-based, not-for-profit organisation delivering cultural and educational activities since 1979. We promote a range of traditional and contemporary glass art techniques through provision of courses and workshops where people with no prior skills are taught to create beautiful art. We are proud to be the only place in Australia offering such a range of classes under the one roof.

Exhibition postponed due to Covid19

In 40 years, 2020 is the first time the Guild missed celebrating our work at our annual Exhibition. Usually held in July at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens Auditorium, Toowong, this was closed this year. The Exhibition features hand-crafted glass mosaics, lamps, fused platters and ornaments, leadlight panels, copperfoiled objects d'art and lampwork beads and jewellery, all made by Guild Members, most of whom started their creative journey after a class with us! Many gorgeous, unique glass creations are sold. We also feature demonstrations on how items are made. It is a popular event in the Brisbane art scene and we look forward to 2021 being an event not to miss.
