Cheryl Hann-Woodlock studied a Bachelor of Fine Art Ceramics, at Monash University and has been working and teaching clay, glass and mosaics for more than 30 years. Her experience in the fine arts, includes numerous exhibitions in sculpting and mosaics, ongoing studies in new materials and “Artist in Residence” with schools where students participate in community projects.

One such new material is Pal Tiya which sculpts like clay but is harder than concrete and perfect for outdoors and mosaic application. Cheryl has worked extensively with this product, learning with its creator, Kim Beaton, in her “Master Class” in Colorado, USA.

3-Dimensional Mosaic Substrates using Pal Tiya

Cheryl is coming to the Guild in August to teach three workshops for beginners to advanced students covering many aspects of 3D sculpture with Pal Tiya. In these workshops, Cheryl will guide students with step-by-step instructions including how to make the base, mix, sculpt and smooth, decorate and the curing process.

Places are now being offered to Guild members but will be opened to the public should spaces still be available in mid-June. Don’t miss out!
