This tutorial covers learning new shapes and the application of surface decoration using stringers and rods to sculp various glass forms. Students will be taught the use of a tools and decorative techniques to make three Christmas themed beads. You will review basic torching skills before being taught to make beads of a decorated Xmas tree, a plum pudding and the head of Rudolf the reindeer.
Numbers: Minimum 3, Maximum 5
Prerequisite: Students to have done torching or completed a beginners’ course at the Guild or elsewhere of at least 12 hours duration. Confidence in making and shaping simple beads and adding dots in controlled way.
