Members’ projects are creative activities where you can express yourself, maybe learn new skills, and have a good yarn with fellow members. You make be helping to create fused glass items to sell at our annual Showcase or joining in a community project like our beautiful mosaiced wall. Whether your first love is leadlighting or copperfoil, why not try something different? Come along and make your mark to contribute to something for the guild!

Christmas Decorations for 2026 Showcase

Help make the popular Christmas Decorations which the Guild sells at the Showcase every year. This year there will be the first of a limited number of a Christmas collectable ornament reflecting the theme “Sunburnt Christmas”. 2026 Showcase will be held on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November. The aim is to have more decorations than ever before – they sell like hotcakes!

Mosaic Ball Garden Project
Organiser: Lyndall Davies
One hundred and forty-four (144) templated pieces are needed to cover an 85cm diameter Pal Tiya ball which will stand in the front garden at the Guild. This amazing product, used to create the Hobbiton set for the movie “The Hobbits” is lightweight and able to be sculpted. After a number of workshops held at the Guild in 2024 and 2025, members have made the ball using a gym ball as the base.
We need your help now to turn this into a colourful mosaiced “sculpture” to demonstrate what we offer at the Guild. When mosaiced the ball will be placed on a stainless-steel pole concreted in the corner bordering the path to the front stairs.
Prerequisite: Basic glass scoring and cutting skills.
Numbers: Up to 6 people in 3-week blocks
What to bring: Your own tools. Glass, adhesive and other materials supplied.
When: Monday evening or Thursday morning – 3 week blocks
