FWS7: Fern Burn and Frit Fun

In the first session, learn how to use live plants fused between 6mm clear float glass in order to leave a "fossil-like" ghost image in glass. Then, in the second session, apply crushed glass (frit) and glass powders to make a scene such as a sunset, beach or bush on clear glass. After firing, your pieces can be taken home to display, slump or use as a plate or frame. Workshop is not a replacement for a beginners fusing and slumping course. Participants will not be taught how to care for and use the Guild kilns. The tutor will fire your work for you to collect later. Numbers: Min 5, Max 9 Prerequisite: No experience necessary.
