DESCRIPTION:Tutor: Katrina Jackson \nWant to enter the wonderful world of fused and slumped glass? \nIn this course\, beginners to glass and those with some experience\, will learn processes required to create a beautiful fused and slumped glass piece to take home.  Learn how to cut glass\, safety practices when working with glass\, how to prepare glass for kiln firing\, use and care of Guild kilns\, and learn what happens to glass in the fusing and slumping processes.  You will use basic designs supplied by the Guild to make one fused glass project. \nOn completion of this course and if you become\, or are a member\, you will be able to “book” Guild kilns to work on your own projects. \nNumbers: Minimum 5\, Maximum 6  \n \nPrerequisite: No experience necessary.

If you choose your own pattern\, you may need to work in your own time to complete lamp. \nNumbers: Minimum 4\, Maximum  8 \nPrerequisite: Guild membership and completion of Leadlight and Copper Foiling – Beginners or Copperfoiling – Beginners. \nCost: Includes copper foil\, solder\, lamp cap\, spider\, flux\, patina\, but not glass & lamp fixtures as these will vary depending on your requirements. (Glass for a basic lamp may cost $80.00 to $100.00.)
