DESCRIPTION:Creative Glass Guild members are able to use Guild workshop facilities during members’ project open times. You may hire use of kilns\, sandblaster\, bead making studio and use tools to work on your own projects without having to enrol in a course where tutors are available. Note though that the Guild may close at times for courses\, workshops\, maintenance or emergent priorities. Members will be notified by email of any changes. \nGuild facilities during Members’ Project Times are for the use of all members and certain obligations are expected. \nThe Guild’s Administrative Policy further details the expectations of members and students\, so that all can operate in a safe\, effective and inclusive environment. DESCRIPTION:Glass Bead Making – Beginners\nTutor: Lenore Keough \nDay 1: Introduction to lampworking tools and equipment; safety requirements\, use of hothead torch as well as instruction on how to make your own glass beads. You will have time to practice this new skill with various bead shapes. \nDay 2: Learn to pull glass stringers; how to apply dots and other simple decorative techniques while getting creative with colour. \nNumbers: Minimum 3\, Maximum 5 \nPrerequisite: No experience necessary. Suitable for students who have never tried torching or those with minimal glass bead making experience. \nNote: Guild beginner courses have no hidden costs.
