Who are we?

The Creative Glass Guild of Queensland was formed in 1979 to encourage sharing of knowledge and improvement of skills of those who enjoy working with glass in a creative way. We do this by offering courses and workshops in Bead Making, Fusing and Slumping, Leadlight & Copperfoiling, Mosaics, Sand Blasting and traditional Stained Glass. Being a non-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers, course fees are low as we take only a small percentage to help run the Guild.

2017 Exhibition

It’s over! The Annual Exhibition was held at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens Auditorium, Mt Coot-tha Road, Toowong. What a success it was with over 930 visitors over the weekend. These lucky people admired a large display of hand-crafted mosaics, panel and lamps, fused glass platters and ornaments, leadlight panels, copperfoiled objects d'art and lampwork beads and jewellery, all made by Guild Members! Many of these gorgeous, one-of-a-kind items were sold to very happy customers.
